December ASSP GA Chapter Meeting

John Putrich, CSP and Ryan McLaughlin, CPCU, CIC from The Baldwin Group will jointly be presenting on Bridging Safety and Insurance: MOD Rate Insights and Solutions

This session will help safety professionals confidently navigate the connection between workplace safety and insurance outcomes. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how their organization’s insurance program works—including key coverage types, how MOD rates are calculated, and where insurance expectations differ from compliance requirements. The session will deliver practical, real-world solutions, to lower MOD rates, strengthen safety performance and enable safety leaders to actively engage in insurance discussions that drive measurable risk reduction.

John Putrich, CSP, is the Loss Control Manager for The Baldwin Group – Southeast and a seasoned safety professional with nearly two decades of experience. He has a proven record of helping organizations strengthen performance and reduce risk by building best-in-class cultures and delivering permanent practical solutions to safety and loss control challenges. A frequent presenter and industry resource, John shares expertise on bridging safety and insurance, improving MOD rates, and creating lasting, results-driven safety programs. John holds the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation and is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Ryan McLaughlin, CPCU, CIC – Client Executive,  is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Risk Management and Insurance and has been with The Baldwin Group for over 20 years.  Specializing in high level client service, Ryan is responsible for specialized reports, exposure analysis, loss analysis and formulating solutions to best cover complex risks.  Ryan has extensive knowledge of insurance coverage forms and a vast understanding of the breadth of insurance products required to properly protect against risk of loss.
