ASSP Georgia ChapterWISE Technical Tour

Join us for a networking lunch, presentation and facility tour of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in Cherokee County.  Southern Company is one of the largest energy providers in the United States and a long-time supporter of the ASSP Georgia Chapter.

Speakers

Jean Harrison is director of Corporate Safety for Southern Company Gas, administering occupational safety programs such as Critical Risk Management and Safety & Health Management Systems. She began her career with Southern Company Gas in 2006 as a process safety engineer supporting Cherokee LNG and other Peaking Operations facilities. Jean graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a BS in Chemical Engineering and Kennesaw State University with an Executive MBA.

Katherine Hofto is senior engineer in the Office of Corporate Engineering at Southern Company Gas where she primarily manages capital projects at Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) facilities. She graduated from the University of Alabama with a BS in Chemical Engineering and obtained an MBA from the University of Alabama Birmingham.

Katherine began her career with Southern Company in 2011 as an intern at the National Carbon Capture Center and held several positions in power generation at Plant Bowen before joining Southern Company Gas in 2018.
